Graphite query editor does not support pipe syntax

**What happened**: Created some queries in text-mode using both graphite regular and pipe syntax: <img width="619" alt="Screen Shot 2020-02-18 at 5 33 32 PM" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/2567/74793461-4590f300-5275-11ea-8708-3cf94ccc0ed9.png"> Then I clicked the "Toggle text edit mode" and observed the second does not render correctly: <img width="620" alt="Screen Shot 2020-02-18 at 5 33 47 PM" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/2567/74793465-488be380-5275-11ea-9855-6161cc693d47.png"> **What you expected to happen**: Expected both queries would look the same in non-text mode. **How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible)**: Create these two queries in text mode: ``` offset(scale(devices.$device.air_temperature, 1.8), 32) ``` ``` devices.$device.air_temperature | scale(1.8) | offset(32) ``` **Environment**: Using grafana cloud cc @Dieterbe @DanCech https://github.com/grafana/grafana/issues/20087#issuecomment-587989034
