Explore Metrics: Home page - Refresh required to display recent metrics explorations

[Add recording later] Another nuance to the bug: sometimes despite refreshing, recent metrics explorations don’t appear (seems like they weren’t saved/cached) Notes for @yangkb09: Look into `public/app/features/trails/TrailStore/TrailStore.ts`: - `setRecentTrail` - `window.addEventListener('beforeunload', (ev) =>` - Refer back to my notes from pairing with brendan on Sep 24, 2024 ### What did you expect to happen? Recently interacted metrics will show up upon navigating to the home page (no refresh required). ### Did this work before? Yes. ### How do we reproduce it? 1. Select a metric from the select metric view (add labels if you want) 2. Navigate back to the home page 3. See that the recent metric explorations aren't updated with the metric you just interacted with until you refresh ### Is the bug inside a dashboard panel? _No response_ ### Environment (with versions)?
