"Add Selection To Previous Find Match" interferes with "Add Selection To Next Find Match"

Add Selection To Next Find Match [Ctrl+D] 2. Now say you also want to expand the selection upwards --> Add Selection To Previous Find Match 3. Nothing happens. Expected Behavior: The two commands should complement each other, so for example when you start in the middle of a function and quickly want to edit a specific word you can quickly expand the selection towards both the top and the bottom. Currently the two commands in conjunction are absolutely useless, and instead will only be useful if you solely want to expand the selection upwards OR downwards.
