Select text with touch / stylus / pencil over Remote Desktop

Due to covid, we have to work home ... some companies even impose it! So i have an all new surface pro X to connect to my desktop computer and azure windows! Due to the size of the screen on pro tablets that are big but not such big (ipad pro, surface pro...) , pen/stylus is one of the best way to select things with hi-precision! And it does not impose to have the keyboard with trackpad every where with you every time! So what was my stupefaction seeing that Notepad supports touch selection very naturally. But nor Visual Studio 2017 professional, nor Visual Studio Code !! Yes,Windows Notepad!! The most basic text editor of windows! Can you link touch events to text selection In your products for programmers on tablets? Thanks a lot!
